How would I remove this <p></p> tag from the "visitor messages" (edited)

exactly like this...

Image

I used this script snippet to remove the annoying "move PM to archives" or "hide" as it was referred to.

$(document).ready(function() {
$('a[title="Move PM to archives"]').attr('hidden','true');});

but also, I want to remove that annoying period before the delete. Any thoughts?

The only way get rid of that period is through CSS, because it was CSS that put it there. Try this:

#profile-advanced-details .message-footer li:after{content:normal}
