Make your javascript run faster!

The techniques I'm about to describe have code specific to forumotion boards, but the techniques will work with boards on any free host. In fact, most of the techniques were developed on Zetaboards!

If you have been around boards on free hosting sites for any length of time, you have noticed that javascripts can slow down the board, and there are "flashes" during page loading when the scripts are changing the layout of the page. If you follow what I'm about to say, your scripts will run much faster, and the "flashes" will disappear forever!

Once you finish these steps, you will be amazed at how fast your scripts will run, and how snappy the display looks!

These are the exact techniques I used on my Dion Designs board on forumotion, and it's why the board seems so fast despite having more script code than perhaps any other forumotion board.

If you have any questions about these techniques, please feel free to ask.

Yes but granted not much of the page will have loaded at that point and will not be ready for manipulation.
You should include yourself a right sidebar, but hide it with CSS #right{ width:0px!important;}
